Update April 2012

Hey people.. so its been a while since we last updated you on both the 2nd album and also our general bits. The album is coming along very nicely, as yet there have been no vocals added to the music as we're still some way from that. Luke & James have been working on the new sections in some heavy detail as well as writing newer parts, joining sub sections to one another and generally being very creative with new sounds etc. Some of the sections are finished but until the entire track is pieced together they never really are. One of the joys about our writing process is that a track can seem finished but there is always another element of change possible, whether a change to a run or a tempo being raised to give it a greater energy. Sometimes these changes will be implemented in the studio during tracking... anyway to summarise, we have some 'finalised material', as well as several hours worth of possible sub sections to throw into the mix. Things are looking and sounding really bloody good right now.

We will also be having some intense writing sessions in the summer to break the back of the album and hopefully put a finishing line in sight. This will include heading to rural France to take up residence in a studio where we hope the escape from distraction and get the music(beer) flowing. During this time we'll be recording some video updates which will hopefully give you an insight into the new record.

A lot of you are asking about shows and release dates.. you're going to have to bare with us on these 2 subjects sadly. As you can see above we're working pretty damn hard on this album in a period of our lives where there is lots going on outside of the band. This doesn't mean we're not focused on bringing you an absolute beast of a follow up, it just means for the time being it is only a large percentage of our time and not all of it being applied. After all we're still on somewhat of a Hiatus.

Fingers crossed that in the time between us finishing off the last album & hitting the studio for album 2 we'll actually be able to pay for the studio time ha!
